The Laboratory for Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering (L-SCALE) at the Oklahoma State University (OSU) was founded in August 2005 by Dr. Tieming Liu. The L-SCALE is dedicated to both fundamental and applied research in the areas of supply chain coordination, logistics planning, operations scheduling, and their applications in the manufacturing, retailing, transportation, and energy industries.
        The L-SCALE has been funded by OSU, the Department of Defense (DOD), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Center for Excellence in Logistics and Distribution (CELDi), the Oklahoma Bio-energy Center, the Oklahoma Transportation Center, and Webco Industries Inc.
